Weather and Roads

Welcome

  • Hello. Welcome to The Kuiper Belt, a place for news and musings that are of interest primarily to.....well.....me! You may be wondering about the title of this space, The Kuiper Belt. "The Kuiper Belt is a disk-shaped region past the orbit of Neptune extending roughly from 30 to 50 AU from the Sun containing many small icy bodies. It is now considered to be the source of the short-period comets" (http://www.nineplanets.org/kboc.html). Essentially, it is a region of space from which objects seem to be drawn at random. It's way out there and doesn't always seem relevant, but it has the potential for serious impact. I hope you find the postings of interest, and please feel free to comment. (Comments are moderated).

I like the different browns in this photo. In spite of what was probably a very windy, cool day, the photo is warm.
